No ID, no vote for electors in Woking

Voters acrossWoking Borough will need to show photographic identification before they canvote in person, at the polling station, at the next local election on Thursday 3 May 2018.

Woking, alongwith four other local authorities in England, is participating in the CabinetOffice’s trial, aimed at tackling electoral fraud.

During thelocal election on Thursday 3 May, voters mustbring photographic ID to their polling station. Voters who do not producevalid identification will not be allowed to vote.

Voters whodon’t have any of the accepted photographic ID must apply free of charge for a LocalElector Card, which is available to acquire right up until 5pm, Wednesday 2 May2018. Postal votes are not affected by the trial.
